‘Assassin’s Creed: Unity’ is Ubisoft’s boyband

As a fan of video games and historical adventure, Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series is the perfect mix for me. I loved running around colonial Boston in Assassin’s Creed III (as a Boston-native it was very therapeutic), and even whipped up a cosplay in honor of Assassin’s Creed IV: Blackflag (assassin pirate? yes!).

This week was E3 and Ubisoft officially debuted their next assassin title — Assassin’s Creed: Unity — which takes place during the French Revolution. It’s the first time gamers of the franchise will be able to co-op missions with friends as AC: Unity has four assassins. This is pretty awesome and something I’ve been hoping for a while now. There’s a bit of controversy as none of the four playable characters are women.

However, the one good thing to come out of the “four white dudes” controversy are the Tumblr jokes and comparisons to them being Ubisoft’s “boyband.” So I made a thing.
