Photographer Sacha Goldberger might’ve just hit the “Things Justin Loves” trifecta — superheroes, cosplay, and historical clothing. In his project he turned back the clock and reimagined superheros — and Star Wars characters (but those are slightly less inspired, so we’ll skip those) — in Elizabethan-esque clothing. It’s pretty awesome.

And no, that’s not Photoshop. That’s just a fantastic make-up team to make these cosplayers look like the classic actors of their characters. Holy smokes, right?

Over the summer a bunch of my fellow fencer-friends did something similar for Pennsic. Here’s their Renaissance Wonder Woman and Superman.

In short, these sort of mash-ups are awesome.

H/T to Kotaku and like a million other sites.
