Admiral Nelson makeoverThe Telegraph UK has a short little feature on what historical figures would look like if they were around today. The artists gave Admiral Nelson, Billy Shakespeare, Marie Antoinette, Queen Elizabeth and her poppa King Henry VIII a modern-day makeover. It’s all to kick off a new series. From the Telegraph:

Famous faces from history including William Shakespeare, Henry VIII and Horatio Nelson have been given a modern makeover to see how they would look if they were alive today. The project, comissioned by history TV channel Yesterday to celebrate its new series, the Secret Life Of…, saw digital artists working closely with history experts to ensure the portraits gave a real sense of how historical characters would look if they were alive in the 21st Century.

Spoiler alert: Antoinette looks like she’s on the verge of becoming the next Amanda Bynes and Shakespeare is a hipster. Queen Elizabeth still looks like a badass, though. She got stuff done during her reign and she’d do it again now if was around.

Give the feature a check. I hope they do more of these actually.
