My debut historical adventure novel, Honor Among Thieves, has been awarded a B.R.A.G. Medallion. The anonymous review described it as “a well-done page turner” and having excellent characters that “made the reader want to care about them.” I am beyond honored.
The B.R.A.G. Medallion is an award put out by indieBRAG, a privately held organization who’s mission is to discover talented self-published authors and help them give their work the attention and recognition it deserves.
This award is special to me for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s the first literary award I’ve ever won. I’ve won awards for blogging, but never for my fiction writing. So that’s really cool. Secondly, being an indie author is hard, especially in such a niche genre that I write in. A lot of hours and hard work went into writing the book, editing it and getting the book files and marketing prepped and ready for print. It’s a nice affirmation to see that hard work has paid off
