Playing Judge at the Boston Comic Con Pre-Con Cosplay Contest

Yesterday was the third annual Boston Comic Con Pre-Con Costume Contest & Parade. Mouth full, eh?

Last year I attended and ended up winning first place for my Edward Kenway/Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag cosplay. So this year I got to be a judge.

It was fun to be on the other side of the table, but also pretty difficult to choose just 10 finalists for adults, three for kids, and then one kid winner and three adult winners.

This year’s adult winners were Yellow Jacket (First Place), Supreme Dark Phoenix (Second Place), and Dr. Allan Grant w/T-Rex Egg (Third Place). Red Hood was the winner for the kid’s division.

There were a few amazing family group cosplays. I wish there was a separate category just for them.

Batman Beyond, Posion Ivy and Old Man Bruce

NECN was also at the event and asked me a few questions about cosplay and what I was looking for in outfits.

Ugh. That accent. Unbearable, I tell you…

Also appear in the video in a few spots.

The whole event was a blast. I posted the rest of the pics I took up on my Instagram, so take a look.
